    Pour écrire un nom au pluriel, on ajoute généralement un 's':
    (To create a plural noun, we generally add an 's':)
    une fleur (a flower) - des fleurs (flowers)
    un clou - des clous
    un landau - des landaus
    un pneu - des pneus

    Cependant, il y a de nombreux cas particuliers, en voici quelques exemples :
    (There are, however, several exceptions, including the following :)

    Les mots qui se terminent par 's', 'z' ou 'x' ne changent pas :
    (Words ending in an 's', 'z' or 'x' do not change.)

    Le gaz - les gaz
    ma souris - mes souris
    une noix - des noix


    Les noms qui se terminent par 'eau','au' ou 'eu' prennent, en général, un 'x' :
    (Words that end in 'eau','au' ou 'eu' generally add an 'x' in their plural form :)

    un anneau - des anneaux
    une eau - des eaux
    ce château - ces châteaux
    un cheveu - des cheveux
    un noyau - des noyaux

    Les mots qui se terminent en 'al' au singulier se terminent par 'aux' au pluriel :
    (Words that end in 'al' in singular form end in 'aux' in plural form :)

    ton cheval - tes chevaux
    notre général - nos généraux
    un métal - des métaux
    son journal - ses journaux


    Il y a 7 mots qui se terminent par 'ou' au singulier et qui se terminent par 'oux' au pluriel :
    (There are 7 words ending in 'ou' in singular form that end in 'oux' in plural form :)
    Si vous mangez des choux à genoux sur les cailloux avec vos bijoux ou vos joujoux vous deviendrez des hiboux pleins de poux.
    (Phrase n'ayant pas beaucoup de sens mais qui permet de mémoriser les mots en 'oux'...)(Les enfants adorent cette phrase!!!)
