       La lettre   i  se lit avec les 2 LL ( son  ill  ) et non avec la voyelle qui précède.  EX: La bataille     le bataillon

      Au contraire, la lettre   y  se partage souvent en  2  i  dont l'un se lit avec la voyelle qui précède et l'autre avec le son qui suit.
