    Cousteau a passer sa vie à exploré les mers et les grands fleuves du monde. En 1943 Cousteau a créée, avec Émile Gagnan, un scaphandre spécial. Avec cet appareil il pouvaient se déplacé librement sous la mer. Il est transformé un vieux bateau en navire, Le Calypso. Ce navire étais équipé d ' instruments nouveaux. Le commandant a dirigé plusieurs croisières scientifiques. Cousteau partageaient sa passion avec sa famille et son fils Philippe as participé à ses expéditions. Cousteau a reçu de nombreuses récompenses pour son travail. Il es mort à 87 ans en 1997.
