    Simple future


    The simple future

     

    « Je travaillerai demain. »

     

     

    ¨    The verbs from all groups have the same 6 endings in common :

    ai, as, a, ons, ez, ont

     

    ¨     The verbs of the 1st and 2nd groups  generally keep their infinitive form but those from the 3rd group are most of the time irregular (vouloir = je voudrai).

     

    ¨    The verbs ending with eler or eter take 2L or 2T  (jeter= ils jetteront) and those who are  exceptions will have an accent 'grave'  (acheter = achètera).

     

    ¨    The verbs in yer at the infinitive form turn their Y into an I (employer = il emploiera)

     

    ¨    The verbs Mourir / Courir/ acquérir and all the verbs from the same group take a double R in the future (courir = je courrai in futur simple)
