    Passé simple


    Le passé simple est un temps de narration de la langue française.
    Pour le conjuguer, il faut distinguer tout d'abord le groupe d'appartenance du verbe.

    - pour les verbes du 1er groupe (verbes dont l'infinitif se termine par -er comme chanter,danser..),
    on ajoute au radical (infinitif auquel on a ôté la terminaison -er), les terminaisons suivantes: ai,as,a,âmes,âtes,èrent.

    - pour les verbes du 2e groupe (verbes dont l'infinitif se termine par -ir) et certains verbes en -ir,-oir,-re du 3ème groupe,
    on ajoute au radical les terminaisons:is,is,it,îmes,îtes,irent.

    - pour  les verbes du 3e groupe,ça se complique! Plusieurs cas :
    .Les verbes tenir,venir et leurs composés (ex:parvenir,détenir..): radical + terminaisons:ins,ins,int,înmes,întes,inrent.
    .Les verbes en -oir et -re (devoir,connaître):radical+ terminaisons : us,us ut,ûmes,ûtes,urent.
