    Places in Town : Préposition

When talking about going to the places in town, it is necessary to combine the definite articles le, la, l', les with the preposition à. Remember that in some cases, you cannot keep both à and the definate article, but need to combine them into one new preposition. In the following sentences, fill in the blank with the appropriate resulting prepositions. Before you begin it may be helpful to complete these equations:

    à + la =

    à + l' =

    à + le =

    à + les =
