    🔹 PART 1: How to ask "How are you?" in French

     

    French English translation When to use it
    Comment ça va ? How are you? Informal
    Ça va ? You good?Very informal
    Tu vas bien ? Are you okay? Friendly, casual
    Vous allez bien ? Are you well?Polite, formal or plural
    Comment allez-vous ? How are you? Very polite/formal

     
     
    💡 Use "tu" with friends, family, kids. Use "vous" to be polite or talk to more than one person.

    📢 Pronunciation tips:

    Comment ça va ? → /kɔ.mɑ̃ sa va/

    Tu vas bien ? → /ty va bjɛ̃/

     

     

     

    🔸 PART 2: How to answer - Say how you are in French
    😃 If you're doing well:


    Ça va bien. I'm good.
    Très bien, merci. Very good, thank you.
    Super ! Great!
    Ça va super bien ! I'm doing very well!
    Comme un charme ! (Québec 🇨🇦) I'm doing great!

     


    🙂 If you're "just okay":


    Ça va. I'm okay.
    Pas mal. Not bad.
    Bof... Meh... / So-so
    Moyen. So-so / Not great

     


    😐 If you're not feeling great:

    French English translation
    Je suis fatigué(e). I'm tired.
    Je suis malade. I'm sick.
    Je ne vais pas très bien. I'm not feeling great.
    Je suis stressé(e). I'm stressed.
    Ça ne va pas. I'm not okay.

     

     


    🔁 PART 3: How to ask back - "And you?"


    Et toi ? And you? (informal)
    Et vous ? And you? (formal)

     


    💬 Example:

    - Ça va bien, merci ! Et toi ?
