c'est / ces / s'est / ses / sais / sait are homophones.
c'est => démonstrative pronoun (ceci/cela)+ verb être => It can be followed by a noun, d'un pronoun or an adjective :
C'est un vélo. (This is a bike.)
C'est lui! (That's him!)
C'est joli! (That's nice!)
ces => démonstrative déterminant => It is followed by a plural noun
Ces pommes sont délicieuses. (These apples are delicious.)
s'est => Reflexive pronoun + verb être =>Need to be place after un noun or a subject pronoun
Il s'est endormi. (He has fallen asleep.)
Maggy s'est regardée dans le miroir. (Maggy looked at herself in the mirror.)
ses => possessive déterminant =>Is used in front of a plural noun
(Notice : In French the possessive determinant is connected to the noun to which it refers and not to the owner)
Il écoute ses disques. (He's listening to his records.)
sais => verb savoir at the l'indicative present 1rst & 2nd person of the singular
Je sais nager. (I can swim.)
sait => verb savoir at the indicative present 3rd person of the singular
Paul sait toujours bien ses leçons. (Paul always knows his lessons well.)
