Articles définis
Hello,
You have to choose the proper definite article. In French, there are four definite articles, here is the rule:
-Le: is used before a masculine noun starting with a consonant => le chien
-La: is used before a feminine noun starting with a consonant => la voiture
-L': is used either used with a masculine or a feminine noun starting with a vowel: => l'arbre (un arbre) ; l'ampoule ( une ampoule)
-Les: is used before a plural noun whether it is masculine or feminine => les enfants (masculine and plural), les fleurs (feminine and plural)
So to choose the proper article, you have to pay attention to the gender, the plural form( S or irregular ending)
Good luck!
