Hello dear Friends!

Using THE 8 WORDS given below (the 2 verbs can be put in whatever tenses or forms you fancy but MUST remain verbs!), 2 adjectives or adverbs, 2 nouns and 2 link words, + a given structure and the suitable punctuation, search your minds, think hard and create AN ONLY meaningful SENTENCE. " Easy", isn't it? (In fact, it's more easily said than done and advanced learners or natives can step in if they wish to!!
)- You CANNOT change the nature of the words!
- You CANNOT use two or more compulsory words consecutively!
PLEASE, WHEN YOU WRITE YOUR SENTENCE, PUT CAPITALS TO THE GIVEN WORDS! [and specify the number of words at the end.]
I'm sure you'll have inspiration...
Here are the words :
- To SLAP - To EMBARRASS - a BUNCH - a SUNSET - IGNORANT - NECESSARY - UNLESS - THOUGH et un "passif prépositionnel"...
Lien internet
(1er paragraphe)
C'est parti pour une " très jolie phrase correcte et courte ! Go for it! Courage !
May THE FORCE be with all of us! ☀️ ☀️

hello

A perturbing lover
At SUNSET, that IGNORANT boy EMBARRASSED me with his BUNCH of roses, UNLESS I dare to SLAP him in front of my friends, THOUGH in this case HE WOULD be LAUGHED AT; was it NECESSARY? 35 mots

Hello dear magie,

At SUNSET, that IGNORANT boy EMBARRASSED me with his BUNCH of roses, UNLESS I dare to SLAP him in front of my friends, THOUGH in this case HE WOULD be LAUGHED AT; was it NECESSARY? 35 mots
Je trouve que le segment commençant par UNLESS (à moins que) ne s'intègre pas bien dans ta phrase... Ceci ne fait pas naturel. (mais c'est grammaticalement juste en modifiant la ponctuation !)

Hello Icare,

To SLAP - To EMBARRASS - a BUNCH - a SUNSET - IGNORANT - NECESSARY - UNLESS - THOUGH et un "passif prépositionnel"...
" A demanding professeur "
Before a BUNCH of studients the professor SLAPPED their essays and said :" You have EMBARRASSED me; though you aren't still at your life's sunset XXX, you will remain ignorant for long unless you deepen your necessary bases of knowledge I was dreamt about" . 39 words
still: Lien internet
'Still' est faux, mais n'est pas demandé. Tu peux donc le modifier sans problèmes...
Je ne comprenais pas ce que venait faire ce "I was dreamt about" en fin de proposition... mais bien sûr, le passif imposé !
Manque de chance, Icare, "dream" ne supporte pas de passif... (mais il n'est pas exigé non plus...)Courage, Icare.

Hello Here4u and everyone ...here is my corrected sentence ....
Before a BUNCH of students the professor SLAPPED their essays and said :" You have EMBARRASSED me; though you aren't at your life's sunset yet ,* you will remain ignorant for long unless you deepen your necessary bases of knowledge until they ARE SETTLED DOWN ". 40 words
Hello, dear Icare,
* ceci comportait deux fautes :
- La faute de construction (still) a été corrigée en 'not yet' B mais le 'crépuscule de sa vie' : the twilight of his life.
La fin de phrase n'est pas très claire...
Courage Icare.

Hello Here4u ... here is my new sentence ....It is said that Bretons are very stubborn......
A very depending teacher
Before a BUNCH of students the teacher SLAPPED their essays and said :" I don't like TO BE FUN OF , you have EMBARRASSED me ; THOUGH you aren't at the SUNSET of your life , you will remain IGNORANT for long UNLESS you deepen your NECESSARY bases of knowledge ". 39 words
Commentaries ; In my last sentence I wrote ; you deepen your necessary bases of knowledge until they are settled down , que je traduis par: vous approfondissiez les bases de vos connaissances jusqu'à ce qu'elles soient profondément ancrées ou établies ou installées .
In my new sentence I written I don't like to be fun of , I think it's better
I maintain the expression ; the sunset of your life . Sunset means :le déclin de la vie , de l'existence
REF : Wordreference , sunset n figurative (end of a period) (figuré) ,déclin
I deleted the word yet , which wasn't useful in the sentence .
I hope my depending teacher will be satisfied with my new sentence , otherwise I will give back my apron.

Hello Here4U - Belle semaine. Voici ma longue phrase romantique.
We were waiting for the SUNSET on the beach, the waves SLAPPED on the shore when I saw a friend coming to us with a BUNCH of flowers, I felt EMBARRASSED, I will refuse it, a NECESSARY evil UNLESS it isn't for me, I wasn't IGNORANT of his feelings THOUGH they weren't listened to. (57 words).

Hello Here4u ... here is my new sentence ....It is said that Bretons are very stubborn......
A very depending teacher

Before a BUNCH of students the teacher SLAPPED their essays and said :" I don't like TO BE XXXX *FUN OF , you have EMBARRASSED me ; THOUGH you aren't at the SUNSET of your life** , you will remain IGNORANT for long UNLESS you deepen your NECESSARY bases of knowledge ". 39 words
* Il te faut une forme passive.
** I don't know whether you are a Briton, but stubborn, you are!

Commentaries ; In my last sentence I wrote ; you deepen your necessary bases of knowledge until they are settled down , que je traduis par: vous approfondissiez les bases de vos connaissances jusqu'à ce qu'elles soient profondément ancrées ou établies ou installées .
In my new sentence I written I don't like to be XXXX fun of , I think it's better. With a passive, it's right, mais it has no link with your original sentence...
I maintain the expression ; the sunset of your life . Sunset means :le déclin de la vie , de l'existence
REF : Wordreference , sunset n figurative (end of a period) (figuré) ,déclin Je suis d'accord ave toi, si tu prends mot par mot, CE QUE TU NE DOIS JAMAIS FAIRE; Tomber dans les pommes ne se dit pas : to fall in the apples. Les Anglais ont le droit d'avoir leurs propres expressions, tout comme les Français.
I deleted the word yet , which wasn't useful in the sentence .
I hope my depending teacher will be satisfied with my new sentence , otherwise I will give back my apron. Désolée, mais "rendre son tablier", abandonner ne se traduit pas mot à mot... Un grand
pour tes efforts et ton travail, quand même, dear Friend!

Hello Here4U - Belle semaine. Voici ma longue phrase romantique.
We were waiting for the SUNSET on the beach, the waves SLAPPED on the shore when I saw a friend coming to us with a BUNCH of flowers, (I think I'd put ; there...)I felt EMBARRASSED, I will refuse it,(there, I'd put : ) a NECESSARY evil UNLESS it isn't for me, I wasn't IGNORANT of his feelings THOUGH they (His feelings?) weren't listened to. (57 words).
EXCELLENT début, mais je ne suis pas certaine de comprendre la fin de la phrase (à partir de a necessary, evil).
Can you help?

To Here4U from Mad14 Bonsoir.
We were waiting for the SUNSET on the beach, the waves SLAPPED on the shore when I saw a friend coming to us with a BUNCH of flowers; I felt EMBARRASSED, I will refuse it
a NECESSARY evil), UNLESS the bunch isn't for me, I am not IGNORANT of his feelings THOUGH his feelings weren't listened to. (57 words).(a necessary evil = un mal nécessaire) la suite je veux dire que je n'ignore pas ses sentiments mais je ne les accepte pas car ils ne sont pas partagés.
