    Story of a Shoe
    Message de flo3299 posté le 16-02-2009 à 08:58:09 (S | E | F)

    Bonjour à tous, est-ce que quelqu'un pourrait m'indiquer mes erreurs dans le texte ci-dessous, merci d'avance.

    Shoe Of the Renaissance

    Charles the eighth, who had six toes, ordained to make a special shoe just for him. Because of his six toes, the shoe had a large extremity.
    At the time, the shoe became fashion, and it's worn all along Louis the thirteenth's reign.
    This shoe, sometimes, could reached thirty-tree centimeters of with, and it was really difficult to walk with.
    This shoe had a few nicknames for its strangeness like "Bear's foot" "cow's muffle" "duck's beak". We can supposed that the shoes was extremely expensive and probably decorated of a lot of diamonds. Besides the shoes was only worn by rich persons.

    Merci d'avance

    fashion is a noun
    it's = temps à changer
    could is followed by the infinitive
    tree or three ?
    decorated of = préposition à changer
    with ?? Maybe width...
    can is also followed by the infinitive (like all modals)
    shoe or shoes?

    Pour moi, je peux voir plus de fautes!

    en rouge les erreurs à corriger:

    Charles the eighth, who had six toes, ordained (quelle est le mot en français que vous voulez utiliser ici?) to make a special shoe just for him. Because of his six toes, the shoe had a large extremity. (qu’est-ce que vous voulez dire par “extremity”?)
    At the time, the shoe became in fashion, and it was worn all along Louis the thirteenth's reign.
    This shoe, sometimes, could reach thirty-three centimeters (ce mot est américain, pas anglais!) of width, (ce phrase n’est pas bon!) and it was really difficult to walk with.
    This shoe had a few nicknames for its strangeness like "Bear's foot" "cow's muffle" (qu’est-ce que vous voulez dire par “muffle”?) "duck's beak". We can suppose that the shoes was extremely expensive and probably decorated about a lot of diamonds. Besides the shoe was only worn by rich persons.

    ordained = a ordonée
    extremity = extremité
    muffle =mufle

    This shoe had a few nicknames because of its strangeness like "Bear's foot" "cow's muffle" "duck's beak". We can suppose that the shoes were extremely expensive and probably decorated to a lot of diamonds. Besides the shoe was only worn by rich people.

    Très bien! Il y a juste une faute – en rouge. Il faut que vous vérifiiez le traduction des autres mots ! (et bien sûr, les autres mots en rouge que vous n'avez pas changés !)

    ordained = a ordonée
    extremity = extremité - utilisez un autre mot!
    muffle =mufle

    This shoe had a few nicknames because of its strangeness like "Bear's foot" "cow's muffle" "duck's beak". We can suppose that the shoes were extremely expensive and probably decorated to a lot of diamonds. Besides the shoe was only worn by rich people.
