    Hello:

    For your trivial pursuits:

    storey/storeys =
    story/stories =

    This building has twelve storeys.
    This building has twelve stories.

    Hello,
There are indeed different spellings and meanings !Il y a en effet différentes façons de parler des étages:

This building has twelve storeys (GB)/stories.(US) / twelves floors (GB)

This building has twelve stories. This does look strange for our continental eyes. Like Mark Twain,I would say it's a tall tale ! But a double click proves you right, notrepere !

Try to figure out this one, notrepère:
This building has twelve stories. "Stories ? tu nous la bailles belle !"
(que signifie cette expression et quel rapport avec stories? c'est un jeu de mot bilingue)
