    Had wished
    Message de laurae posté le 07-11-2011 à 10:08:29 (S | E | F)
    Bonjour

il y a beaucoup d'exercices avec wish; cependant je ne vois pas la structure had wished
    Quand l'employons-nous, est-ce possible?
il me semble l'avoir déjà rencontrée.
Pouvez-vous s'il vous plaît me donner des exemples d'utilisation de construction pour le reste de la phrase -
    Merci beaucoup.

    Hello laurae.
Wish is most often used in present tense or future. When in the past, it is usually used with the past perfect...I wish I had studied more. 'Had wished' is not used as often. One could say...After I had wished him a happy birthday, I left the party. I hope this helps. Sherry

    Bonsoir,
    par exemple:
He got more job offers than he had wished for .

She went to bed after we had all wished her a happy birthday/ a good night/ a pleasant evening....
